WDX
Wildlife Detection Exchange: an open format for AI wildlife detections
// about
WDX is a small JSON format for a single machine detection event from a community-run sensor, plus wdx-agent, a one-file Python program that sends detections from BirdNET-Pi, BirdNET-Go, or a camera trap classifier to an open map. Every field that has a Darwin Core equivalent maps to it explicitly.
// compared with
WDX as an alternative
WDX is not a replacement for Camtrap DP. It is the lightweight event format for continuous community sensors, designed to export cleanly to Darwin Core.
A good fit if you are looking for wildlife detection data format, especially around BirdNET-Pi export Darwin Core, camera trap AI detection JSON schema, bioacoustic data interchange format, BirdNET-Pi to GBIF.
